The forward has arrived at the Emirates Stadium from Deportivo La Coruna, but how will he fit into Arsene Wenger's starting XI in north London?
ANALYSIS
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has completed his sixth signing of the summer with Lucas Perez arriving from Deportivo La Coruna, and Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi set to follow shortly, we take a look at how the Gunners could line-up with both players this season.
Wenger was asked post press conference last week whether he'd be signing Lucas to play in his natural position at centre forward and the Frenchman answered "yes", which means it's likely that he'll be utilised in that position either on his own or alongside Olivier Giroud.
Speaking to the official Arsenal website following the confirmation of Lucas' transfer, Wenger said: “He’s not only a goalscorer, he’s a guy who combines well with partners, who can give a final ball and makes good runs. He’s got a good eye for goal and had an outstanding season last year.”
Those comments in particular give an incline into how Lucas will be used throughout the 2016/17 campaign, where his versatility means he can also play across the forward line in similar style to Jamie Vardy - who the 27-year-old has been heavily compared to.
The view from Goal Spain: "Lucas is a very fast player that is best when he has freedom to play across the attack: most of the times he starts from one wing - either right or left - and is an excellent crosser of the ball. He also likes to play as a centre forward and is a very good finisher.
"Last season he scored a lot of goals because he played where and how he wanted. He is a good player for a supporting role but I've doubts to how he will adapt to Arsenal. I don't expect Lucas will be as free in London as he was in Coruña, where he was the club's fan favourite and marquee player."
