Edo 2016:Oshomole Demands Huge Refund From Dangote. Who say Naija no get money?

The outgoing governor of Edo State Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has demanded from Alhaji Aliko Dangote an earlier waiver of Certificate of Occupancy fee, worth N1,089,530,370 (One billion eight-nine million, five hundred and thirty thousand, three hundred and seventy naira only) for an expanse of land measuring 448.448 hectares from Dangote Fertilizer Company located at Agenebode, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State for giving up on his candidate.

Mr. Oshimhole is also demanding the sum of N81,768million for 50.16 hecters he also granted the richest man in Africa as waiver for the Agenebode Fertilizer factory which the business man refused to construct.

The governor who is desperate to install his stooge, Godwin Obaseki by any means possible as his successor, apparently to cover up his atrocities in the state told Alhaji Aliko Dangote to pay the said C of O fee he used his office to waive for him some two years ago since he has decided to back off from financing the election of his candidate, Mr. Godwin Obaseki.

The former union leader has been hypocritical on the governance of the nation by the previous administration. Mr. Oshiomole, on the 1st of July last year attacked Dr. Okonjo-Iweala over the mismanagement of the nation’s economy by granting waivers to various organisations running into several hundreds of millions of naira.

Trouble is said to have started when the result of an independent pool sponsored by Alhaji Dangote gave 71.9% rating to the opposition candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu which prompted the withdrawal of support by the businessman.

A reliable source disclosed that Dangote told Oshiomhole that he does not have money to waste on Obaseki since his chances of winning the election are very slim and that some other NGOs and online media who also conducted opinion poll corroborated that of his own as the opposition candidate was rated more than the APC candidate, Mr. Godwin Obaseki.

This latest development led to Oshiomhole’s request for the postponement of the September 10 Governorship election in Edo State. Mr. Oshiomhole is said to be very furious as the tide has turned against him and his candidate and therefore needs the money to buy votes and compromise the postponed Edo election.

A source revealed to FREEPRESS that the Governor Oshiomhole celebrated the shift of the election as the 18 days will enable him recruit people from some northern states who he wants to give the PVC cards his agents have bought or stolen from unsuspecting voters.

Social media and other media outlets have been inundated with news of Governor Oshiomhole throwing all night party to celebrate the cancellation of the election slated for last week Saturday. One of the governor’s aides deny there was jubilation over the postponement of election in Government House.

A check in the streets of Benin and its environs revealed that the people of Edo State are viciously angry with President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Oshiomhole and the Inspector General of Police, because the same police authority earlier deployed 25,000 for the proposed election; including other security agencies.
